6pm | July 1st 2008 | BAFTA | LONDON

Enabling and implementing change is one of the toughest challenges for any organisation, and HR’s contribution to the process is critical. Organisations often fail to successfully implement change because of poor people management: as market conditions become more volatile, it has never been more important for HR to deliver change effectively.

This event will focus on the role HR Directors and their departments play in successful change management. The panel, drawn from diverse sectors, will examine which HR strategies ensure that the business change objectives are met, and give insights into lessons they have learnt from their own personal experience.

  • What are the factors that lead to group or individual resistance to change, and how can HR help identify and overcome them?

  • The role of leadership in enabling successful change

  • The challenge of changing an organisation’s culture

  • The importance of engaging employees through effective communication
Following the presentations a lively Q & A discussion will take place, offering the perfect opportunity to challenge the panellists methodologies and benchmark your own practices. The discussions then continue informally over a glass of wine and canapés, making this the perfect opportunity for you to network with your peers.
