Ben Bengougam
Group HR Director DSGI Plc
Ben Bengougam was appointed in January 2006 to the position of Group HR Director at DSGi plc. (formerly the Dixons Group) His responsibilities include the development and execution of the Group’s people strategies through the leadership of a talented, diverse and increasingly international multi-branded team of HR business partners. The most critically important part of his role is the management of talent development for the Group to enable its growth. Previously, Ben spent 11 years with Forte International Hotels in various operational and human resource management roles.
Tom Brown
Group HR Director Rolls Royce Plc
Tom is currently Group Human Resources Director of Rolls-Royce plc. Prior to this, Tom was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Brambles Industries Limited in Australia. Tom has been Group HR Director for Allied Domecq plc in the UK and Vice President Corporate Human Resources for BHP Limited in Australia; his early career included a range of international Human Resource roles for the Mobil Corporation.
Stephen McCafferty
HR Director Standard Life Group
Stephen joined Standard Life in 1995 and is currently Group HR Director with responsibility for Group Policy, Centres of Excellence and HR Shared Services. A graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, and with a Masters degree in Occupational Psychology from London University (Birkbeck College), he has previous experience in the Public and Retail sector. He is a Chartered Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. His current priority is to drive the people agenda to ensure Standard Life can attain its aspirations as a new plc after 75 years as a mutual.
Jackie Wellesley
Head of HR O2
Jackie has been with O2 all the way through the evolution of the company. Originally part of BT, and known as BT Cellnet, the company de-merged from BT in 2001, and rebranded as O2. Following a buy-out in 2006, the company is a now wholly-owned subsidiary of Telefónica S.A. Jackie has been closely involved with the change management process throughout. Jackie’s key responsibility is to act as a strategic HR partner for the European Headquarters. Her work includes organisational design, resourcing, performance management, compensation & benefits and development activities.
Paul Gaskin
HR and Change Director Serco Group
Paul is Serco’s thought leader on Change Management, Performance Management, Leadership, Equal Pay and working with Trade Unions. Serco employs 50,000 people, in 36 countries and has a turnover of £2.6Billion. Since joining Serco 7 years ago, he has held a variety of senior positions as HR & Change Director, including Serco’s largest Division, Defence, Science and Technology. Paul was responsible for the design of Serco’s leadership model and talent management processes. He previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Outsourcing Division and spent 20 years in various senior Engineering, Management and HR Roles at BAE Systems.
